The Carolinas LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to host a FREE Virtual Name Change Workshop dedicated to trans and gender diverse NC residents 18+. 

In our time together we will explain, step by step the process for legally updating your name through the North Carolina court system. In the second half of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to pair off, 1:1 with legal experts to ask questions specific to you! Not ready to file your paperwork? That's absolutely ok, our time together will prepare you take that step when you're ready! 

We will also provide you with reference material and contact information for ongoing support after our workshop. 

This event if for anyone who is: 

- NC resident or planning to become a resident in the next year 

- 18+ years old - this is important, the process is different for minors 

- Simply interested in learning more about the name change process in NC 

- Have detailed questions or looking for support to complete the name change process 

This workshop will not provide any funding or cover the cost of a name change or related activities. We may however discuss ways you can subsidize the process or reduce costs.
