Kevin Daniels, LCSW, LCDP, ACSW, QCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional with over 7 years of experience in mental health and addiction treatment. He is board certified by the American Board of Clinical Social Work (ABCSW), reflecting advanced clinical expertise and professional distinction.

Kevin is the founder of Open Minds Therapy, LLC, a trauma-informed and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming private practice serving clients in Delaware and South Carolina. He is a Lebanese American gay man whose work centers the impact of growing up in cultural and familial systems where mental health is often dismissed, minimized, or reframed as discipline, silence, or “just how it is.” He specializes in working with individuals who were expected to endure rather than be understood, and who are now confronting the long-term impact of that conditioning.

He understands that when the people you love most cannot fully support or see you, the impact is not abstract. It is relational, embodied, and enduring. That kind of pain requires a clinician who can stay with it without minimizing it or turning away.

His clinical approach integrates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), and talk therapy within a framework that prioritizes nervous system regulation, safety, and sustainable healing. He works from the understanding that trauma is held in both mind and body, and that meaningful change requires more than insight alone.

In addition to psychotherapy, Kevin has extensive experience in case management, supporting clients facing layered challenges including systemic barriers, life transitions, and chronic stress.
